City of Lewes Workshop on Phragmites Control

The City of Lewes will host a public workshop on Monday November 18, 2019 at 6:30 pm in the city  meeting room in the Margaret Rollins Community Center to advise the public on the 5-year plan for controlling phragmites within the city limits of Lewes.

There will be a PowerPoint presentation indicating the areas that are most vulnerable to the growth of these perennial wetland grasses.

In addition to city officials, representative will be available from the State of Delaware Department of Agriculture Forest Service, and the Delaware Sea Grant Program, University of Delaware, to respond to questions.

This workshop will be led by City Manager Ann Marie Townshend and Cpl. Chatham Marsch.
