Stango Park

Stango Park is located along Kings Highway, at the corner of Adams Street and serves as the gateway to Lewes.  The park is home to the Lewes Public Library and the Lewes summer concert series held every tuesday evening from May thru August.  This park was designed as Lewes' arboretum and has spreading trees forming an arbor over the carpets of grass.  It is the perfect place on a sunny day to get a book and relax in the shade.

Named for former Mayor Al Stango, twelve-term Mayor of Lewes retiring from office in 1992. Mayor Stango will be remembered for his forceful personality and his role during Lewes' transition from a mostly blue-collar working town to a city driven by upward-spiraling real estate.
