    Lewes Police Department Warning Notice    Delaware Law Title Section 4180(a) states that “every vehicle stopped or parked upon a 2-way roadway shall be so stopped or parked with the right-hand wheels parallel to and within 12 inches of the right-hand curb or outside edge of the shoulder”.  Warnings are being left on vehicles as a courtesy of the Lewes Police Department to inform the community that their vehicle was parked facing the wrong direction a... more

          The Lewes Police Department would like to make residents aware of counterfeit currency circulating throughout the City of Lewes.  The currency which was confiscating was a five dollar bill bearing Abraham Lincoln's portrait; however, the denomination was altered to reflect a hundred dollar bill.  The paper currency is authentic federal reserve paper; however, the currency is being washed to remove the correct ... more
