Administrative Department
The Administrative Department consists of a City Manager, Financial
Officer, Administrative Assistant, Tax/General Ledger Clerk, Payroll/Accounts
Payable Clerk, Projects Officer, and Building Official. Their responsibilities
include overseeing daily operations of the city, billing and collection
of real estate taxes, gross receipt rental taxes, licenses, coordination
of projects and grants, enforcement of city ordinances and building codes
and processing of building permits.
Police Department
The Police Department provides 24-hour service with a Chief of Police and twelve full-time officers. The Department is responsible for enforcement of city ordinances, traffic laws, parking regulations, and state laws.
Street Maintenance Department
The Street Maintenance Department is headed by a foreman and work crew. They are responsible for garbage collection, street and beach maintenance, and other duties as determined by the City Manager. The street maintenance yard is located at the corner of Schley and Washington Avenues.
