2015 May Day Tulip Dig
Dig Them Up & Take Them Home for Free
Join Lewes in Bloom on Monday, May 4, 2015 to help dig up the tulip bulbs around Lewes that were planted for this year’s Tulip Celebration.
Participants need to bring a shovel and a bag to Zwaanendael Park, Stango Park, Mary Vessels Park, 1812 Park, Lewes City Hall, Lewes Post Office, Citizen’s Bank, St. Peter’s flower barrels or the Gateway on Kings Highway from 9:00am to 12:00pm only. Park supervisors will be present to help coordinate the dig. Dig the bulbs up and give them a new home for free. Areas not included in the dig are Canalfront Park, the Children’s Learning Garden in Stango Park and in front of the Zwaanendael Museum. In case of inclement weather, the May Day Tulip Dig will be moved to Tuesday, May 5, 2015 as the rain date.
