Sgt. David Lorah Retires01/17/2018
Be advised that Sergeant David Lorah has submitted his official notice of retirement effective 1/30/18 after 24 years of service to the citizens of the City of Lewes.
Sergeant Lorah graduated from the 36th New Castle County Police Academy and started his career for the City of Lewes in October of 1988. He served the City from 1988 to 1994 and then joined the University of Delaware Police from 1994 to 1999 before returning to Lewes in 2000. He was promoted to Corporal in 2007 and then to Sergeant in 2010.
Sergeant Lorah has displayed outstanding dedication and a sense of duty to the citizens of the City of Lewes, his hometown, and should be commended for standing on that thin blue line for so long. During all those years, Sergeant Lorah has embodied the guardian mindset and has truly cared about the community where he has served.
Please join me in congratulating and thanking Sergeant Lorah on an outstanding and distinguished career in public service and wishing him nothing but the best in his next endeavors!!
