PRESS RELEASE: Arrests made in Lewes burglaries


The following press release is being issued by the Lewes Police Department in reference to an arrest of an individual responsible for multiple burglaries in the City of Lewes.  Between February 14th and February 17th, 2018, 6 daytime burglaries of vacant residences and garages occurred in the unit block of Rhode Island, 600 block of Pilottown Road, unit block of Queen Anne and the 400 block of W. 3rd Street.  Evidence recovered at the scene as well as information received in cooperation with the Delaware State Police have led to the arrest of the following individuals:
Michael Gieron, white male, age 34  of Water Lilly Lane, Lewes, Delaware for 5 counts of Burglary, 2 counts of theft over $1500, 3 counts of theft under $1500., 3 counts of criminal mischief and 1 count of receiving stolen property. 

Joshua Harshbarter, white male, age 35 of Kendale Road Lewes, charged with 2 counts of recieving stolen property.  As a result of the burglary investigation, Lewes Police Detectives and the Delaware State Police determined that Gieron had sold stolen property to Harshbarger.
