Carol Richardson recieves the 2013 Elaine Bisbee Service Award


City of Lewes employee Carol Richardson recieved the 2013 Elaine Bisbee Service Award at the Mayor & City Council meeting held Tuesday March 25th.
Ms. Richardson has worked for the city since December 2009, starting as the Clerk/Receptionist in the Finance Office and was promoted to Project Officer last year.

The Elaine Bisbee Service Award was created in honor of past city manager Elaine Bisbee and is awarded each March to a city employee through a nomination process.  These employees demonstrate the following qualities:
  • Regularly displays a positive work habit
  • Actively participates as a member of a work team
  • Extends him/her self to make sure the service is high quality
  • Displays a strong attitude to work with other members of the city
  • Take the initiative to resolve service concerns consistent with city policy
  • Is dependable and reliable
  • Completes assignments in a timely manner.
The award consists of a Certificate of Recognition, an engraved plaque which hangs in City Hall and a $500 cash bonus.
Elaine Bisbee Service Award Criteria
